GOING ON VACATION?
GIVE YOUR DOGS AN ADVENTURE, TOO!
Think 2-Week Immersive Day Camp, but Boarding included!
Your pup would live in our home just like our dogs! They will have a minimum of 5 hrs of high level training each day and house manners work every day as well! If you are comfortable with them playing and interacting with our dogs during their training time we will assess for safety and that will be allowed and monitored! Play time usually helps the transition seem more like an "adventure camp" rather than just "work"!
You would receive daily updates with videos and photos of their progress and updates on their feeding schedule to ensure they are getting enough food intake!
After the program is completed we would then spend about three hours with you to teach you how to follow through with the training to make sure you learn how to be your own dogs trainer!
You would always have Everywhere K9 for your dogs future, and to help when new "obstacles" come to surface!
This package includes LIFETIME SUPPORT with all commands in order for you to confidently merge your dog into YOUR lifestyle!
4 COMPLETELY PRIVATE 1 hour sessions designed to teach you and your dog the basic commands and more!
Lessons 1-4 will build the foundation of basic commands with weekly challenges to enhance your dogs true understanding and your ability to integrate training into your daily routine!
We use an E Collar through E Collar Education Technologies.
This is a Tens Unit. It contracts the muscle for 1/10th of a second when used. We teach the ECollar by using leash pressure, treats and toys simultaneously to make sure they understand what the collar means! This is done at the pace best suited for YOUR dog!
I began my working life with nearly two years of Positive Reinforcement Dog Training. This is where I learned how to bring fun and captivating engagement into my training techniques. I felt called to go more in depth and expand my understanding of different training methodologies so I could reach the needs of dogs and families that needed more help than what solely Positive Reinforcement Training was able to provide them. In 2018 after weeks of research to find the company I felt was able to add to my abilities while also adding to theirs I accepted a job with celebrity dog trainer Nick White's company, Off Leash K9 Training in Knoxville, TN. Three years of working with OLK9 in TN led me to transfer to Austin, TX where I became the first Trainer with the company on foot. Throughout my time with OLK9 I grew even more passionate and began continually raising my goals and my standard for Dog Training. In December of 2022 I decided that my goals, my standards, and my love for training needed it’s own program that was truly tailored to each individual dog and that is when Everywhere K9, LLC came to fruition.
My love for training dogs began as a child. I was raised with a Dutch Shepherd Police K9 who sparked my interest in dog training at a young age.
I am one of six children and a dog mom to three: a Siberian Husky named Winnie McKinney, a Golden Doodle named Roadie, and a rescued Belgian Malinois named Tyr. I am someone who loves my family, friends, and helping animals. When not working with dogs, or visiting family, I enjoy being outside, going hiking, spending time on the lake, and attempting to dominate a pool table.
Since founding Everywhere K9, I have jumped at the opportunity to help families see what their dogs are capable of and to strengthen families’ relationships with their dogs. I love that through Everywhere K9, I am capable of bringing out the best in every dog, regardless of size, behavioral issues, or even previous traumatic experiences. The absolute best part of the job for me is strengthening every single client/dog relationship.
I love disproving the common misconception that training will take away the personality of a dog. I enjoy demonstrating how training helps a dog find a positive way to channel their energy, while preserving their silliness or goofiness. That is why training is so great. It gives them something to do, strengthens the bond between the dog and the owner, and most importantly… enhances the life of the dog.
I will be the biggest encourager for you and your dog, and anyone that finds themselves in my class will hear the same message over and over:
“Be your dog’s cheerleader! Be here to let them know they are doing a great job! Most importantly HONOR THE DOG”.
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating high school, I moved to Chicago where I received my Bachelor's Degree from Columbia College in Chicago. A few years later, I found myself residing in Nashville, Tennessee. Then, three years later, I decide to come back to my roots, where I ended up settling down in Austin, Texas. Throughout all of my journeys in life, I have always had a dog by my side!
My Bachelor's Degree is in business management. I utilized my education and experience by opening and operating restaurants throughout Nashville and Austin. This is where I learned how to problem solve, listen and come up with solutions as a manager. During my time in the food and beverage industry, I found myself as a top trainer within each company I worked for, which was gratifying, but I always felt like there was something missing in my career.
After 10 years in the service industry, I realized I needed a change in a more fulling career for myself. I had always shown interest with the veterinary industry and specifically dog training. But it wasn't until I adopted Shea over four years ago, I decided to do a deep dive into understanding dogs and how to communicate with them. I found the art and science behind dog training extremely intriguing. Not only would I be doing right by the dog, but I could also help make a difference in an entire household. It was in early 2022 that I realized I should turn my hobby into a career, as a professional dog trainer.
Once my decision had been made to switch careers, I accepted a job with celebrity dog trainer Nick White's company, Off Leash K9 Training. I received professional and in-depth training of what goes into becoming a successful trainer. Within a year, I became the lead trainer of their branch in Austin and Central Texas. While working for Off Leash K9 Training, I worked with all types of breeds, young dogs, old dogs, large, small, aggressive, playful, stubborn. Recently, I parted ways with the company to further expand my training tools and cater to the specific needs of dogs and their owners.
I finally found what I was missing. It was right by my side this whole time. My life experiences and education have given me a whole new understanding of what I deeply searching for in my career. This life transition I made over a year ago sparked a passion that I never knew I had when it comes to training. I can honestly say this is the most rewarding and fulfilling position I have ever taken in my life, which is something I am extremely proud of!
